Spring has Sprung!

It has finally started to stay above freezing here in the Midwest. Which means we can go outside without twenty layers of clothes, hats, gloves, scarves and blankets for the kids. WooHoo! It was really nice this last weekend so Killian has been playing outside a lot. She loves being outdoors and running all around. She likes to play with hers bouncy balls that she has at our house and at Nana Melinda's house.

Killian also loves to watch the cars and trucks drive by Nana's house. She can sit there all day and watch them.

Let me tell you about my best friend...

Killian and her cousin Sam can not get enough of each other. Which is good since they both spend their days at grandmas house!

Kisses for the baby!

Hugs!

St. Patrick's Day Parade

This year we were very lucky to have a weekend of gorgeous weather for the St. Patrick's Day Parade. Our parade here is the only bi-state parade in the US. Sean, Killian and I met up with my mom and step dad, and my sister Sarah, her husband Dave and their boys, Adam and Sam. We got to see lots of green! Green dogs, green drinks, green shirts, green hats, green sunglasses and much, much more! Killian loved all the music and trying to catch the goodies the parade walkers were throwing.

Name Game

These past few weeks Sean and I along with my mom have been teaching Killian the names of her aunts, uncles and cousins. I made a book with pictures of the various families, couples and all the siblings. I labeled each person in the picture so my mom would be able to put a name to a face for Killian. Killian loves to flip through the book and repeat the names. So far she can say Nana and Papa Gaff (not Graff), Kylee, Katie, Kira, and Wawa.

Now for the rest of you...Mark is Muk, but it said while she throws her head down. She has almost got Aubree all the way but she says Aubee. Bryce is just Rice, but she started saying Bri last night. Erin is Ernnnnnnn, she really likes the N at the end. Stew is Tew but she needs to pucker her lips for a second before she says Tew. Colleen is Leen and Andrew is Dew (bet you wouldn't have guessed that). Seth is Sef and again she adds throwing her head down. Ian, poor poor Ian, she still refuses to say your name. All she does is laugh at your pictures and say "huh". Daniel comes out as Daaaaael.

Sean and I hope that showing her pictures and teaching her the names will help her with meeting all these new family members. She has been able to talk to several family members on the phone. Mostly, she will only say hi to her Papas. Any phone she sees she will pick up and say "Hi Papa Hi". Sometimes I am lucky enough to get a "Hi Mommy" which has been happening more frequently lately. There seems to be a shift in the Daddy's girl standings. Mommy is starting to win!!
