Our little Green Thumb

Sean and I recently planted some flowers at our new house. Killian loves to go outside and check on them and water them. She does insist on doing it "all by myself". She pretty much insists everything be done "all by myself".

Watering them All by Herself!

I think it needs more water!

Looks Good!

I guess she thought the grass needed water too.

I got a small sunflower plant to grow indoors from my boss. Killian and I check on it everyday and make sure it gets enough sun to make it big and strong. This week it has started to pop up out of the soil. Hopefully, I wont some how kill it before we can get an actual flower out of it.

She's not spolied....

She is SUPER spoiled.

Killian loves her swing set! She surprised us this week when she started swinging all by herself and telling herself to kick forward and pull back. We had not taught her this yet because we wanted to get some toddler size swings, but she watched a Special Agent Oso episode and he taught a girl to swing and Killian remembered it. She has a really good memory and will shock Sean and I all the time with how smart and big she has become.

New House

We found a new house that we are going to rent here in the Quad Cities. We think it is going to work out much better for our little family. Sean will still have a big garage for woodworking. Killian has a huge play room in the basement that might just be able to hold all her toys, for a while! And best of all I will have a craft room! It is a smaller room right next to the play room so Killian and I can "play" together. Killian has already tried to take over my craft room because it has storage under the stairs and she thinks it is the perfect place to hide. We have spent the last couples weeks painting some of the rooms at the new house (pictures to come soon). I was very excited that we could finally give Killian a room all decorated just for her. She decided that her room should be blue so we picked out 2 colors a lighter and a darker blue. As Stefanie and I were painting Killian let us know she was not happy with what we were doing to her room. I got a little worried that she might be serious, but as soon as Daddy and Sean came to finish painting and to tell her how pretty it was she then of course thought it was the greatest thing ever. She stood in the middle of the room and threw her hands up and said "Oh my goodness, I loooooooooooove my room!" I have quite a few projects that are in the works for her room and the rest of the house. I will be sure to post pictures as they get done.

Killian's Playroom and my craft room (I am still working on her signs for the walls, so more pics later)

Sean redid the basement. He put up the chair rail, new bottom half of the walls and the new carpet.

My awesome Librarian Action Figure on my desk.

There are still many projects that we want to do in the house. Top priority is to make Killian's bed and some bedroom furniture. We found a really cute bedroom set that will "grow" with her, but the asking price was more then $1,200. Sean says he can easily make the same set for considerably less money. Sean still has to make my Hope Chest and he has lots of other projects for friends and family members. I am going to finish making the decorations for the playroom and then move on to making Killian some bedding.

High(and low) lights from the last couple weeks

It has been a very interesting couple of weeks for us at the Graff house. We spent most of our time being sick. First, Killian and I had this horrible cold/virus/cough. Killian was only sick for about a week, I however had it for about 2 1/2 weeks. Answering the phone at work was lots of fun with a voice that would cut in and out randomly. Side-note:sorry to all the people who had to listen to me cough into their ear on the phone. After we finally got all of that out of our system we got hit hard with the flu. This was our first experience with Killian and the flu. She was a trooper! It all began while she was sleeping so needless to say I was scrubbing, washing and stepping all over it. This experience has reaffirmed that I NEED lasik surgery. Sean was able to easily side step the mess but I rushed into the room without my glasses so I couldn't see anything and  I about fell on my bottom while slipping on the floor covered with Killian's vomit. We tried to keep to ourselves while we were sick, but it was too late. We managed to spread the flu to the rest of my family. Sorry! I am happy to report we are all doing much better and it couldn't have come at a better time...because we just moved!

Killian enjoyed the annual Sherrard Library Easter Egg Hunt. She got lots of candy and a giant hershey kiss that she gave to her friends Nick and Jake.

During the Easter holiday we were fortunate enough to have my dad and stepmom come to visit for a few days.We played lots of games, made lots of messes and ate way too much food!  Killian and Sam still get along pretty well. They love playing together and can just chase each other laughing. But like any 2 small children who spend lots of time together there are fights, stealing, crying and whining!

Other tidbits from the last couple weeks:
Killian has learned to sign I Love You - adorable! She also picked up some Spanish from Dora and Diego.
We discovered Killian will cry when people sing Happy Birthday to the birthday child if that child is not her.
I made Thing 1 and Thing 2 costumes for our Dr. Seuss Birthday Bash at work.
Sean made a toy chest for Killian (now she only needs about 3 more to fit all her toys in them).

Killian loves to talk to her family using Skype!
Killian informed me that she would like to go to school so she can show all her peoples her piggy bank and have snacks.
Killian enjoys driving her Barbie Jeep outside, still using no hands.
Killian loves to play I Spy- and she is very good at it.
