Uncle Ian 2

We had such a great visit with Ian. We all wish he could stay with us forever, but he seems to enjoy California for some crazy reason. We had really nice weather while he was here, except on the weekends when we would plan something outdoors.
Sean and Ian were able to work outside a lot, fix Sean's motorcycle, fix my brakes, get started on a table for Killian and best of all Ian fixed my computer. My computer stopped working months ago and I have been very worried since ALL of Killian's baby pictures were on there and I had not saved them elsewhere (I am now).
Killian loved having Uncle Ian staying with us. She would give Uncle Ian a Wet Willy every morning when we were leaving for work. Not sure Ian liked it, but she would laugh all the way to GaGoo's house. My nephew Sam also loved Ian. He would ask my sister all the time "where's E" and when he would come over he would go straight for Ian. I guess he will just have to settle for us again.

I believe Killian is the winner!

Killian saying good night and good bye to her Uncle Ian!

After Ian left, I was driving with Killian and she asked if we were going to play with Uncle Ian that night. I told her that we said good bye to Ian because he had to go back home to California. She thought about that for a minute and asked when she would get to see him again. I told her I was not sure but we can talk to him on the phone and the computer, we can send him letters and pictures and try really hard to go visit soon. She said, "okay, but we all are going to be really really sad at home." (Insert your awwwww here!) I had to agree with her on that. Tater is even sad without Ian!

Uncle Ian!

As of September 1st Uncle Ian has been here visiting us. Sean was completely left in the dark about Ian coming to visit. We thought it would be fun to surprise him! It was a very difficult day getting Ian here without Sean knowing.
Of course, everything that could go wrong did. It rained in the morning so Sean couldn't ride his motorcycle to work so he got a ride with a co-worker. Just before lunch he found out the casket he was making needed to be done a day earlier (that day) so he could send it to Utah. So I got a call asking if I could leave early and pick him up so he could get the casket done. Now I had to do a little fibbing here and tell him I was stuck at work with no one to fill in for me because I knew I had to pick up Ian at 4. So we called my mom and she picked him up and took him home. Sean was able to get the casket finished and needed to get it to the UPS warehouse by 6. He still had to wait for me to get off work, buy a bigger box, package the whole thing and send it off. He called me at work a little before 4, but I had already left. Unfortunately my co-worker told him I left already so he called my cell phone and said something about getting mail and leaving early. He thought I left early to pick him up. So at 4:30 when I still wasn't home he started calling me. I ignored all his calls until I was a couple blocks away from home with Ian hiding in the back of the van. To say Sean was getting a little mad and worried is an understatement. As I put the can in park I popped the back so he could load the casket, as he walked back he was saying something about me taking so long and should have been home by now. Then he rounded the corner and saw Ian laying there! He was very confused and surprised. Sean gave Ian a quick hug and then told everyone to get in the car we gotta go!
I think once the casket was finally out of his hands and in transit he finally let it sink in that Ian was here and we tricked him. He had just spoken to Ian that weekend and thought Ian wouldn't be able to visit us. It was very hard for Ian and I to keep it a secret, but worth every second!
Going to diner the day Ian arrived.

Killian has loved having her Uncle Ian visiting. Sean and I were able to take a long 4 day weekend this Labor Day. The boys cut the grass, trimmed bushes, worked in the garage, and played silly little brother games that involve hitting each other until one quits (???who does that???). We had a cook out Saturday night with friends and family. My nephew, Sam, also loves Ian.

Look how good those bushes are!

Sunday afternoon we went to watch the go cart races before another cook out at my moms house. The weather has been really nice this last week. The horrible humidity is finally leaving for the year. We didn't stay long at the races because a car went spinning out of control right into the fence were the kids and guys were standing. The car flipped and spun all around, knocked over a couple people, but amazingly no one hurt- not even the driver. So I was done with all this dangerous racing nonsense. We headed home for a quick nap before diner.
Ian and Sean!
