Introducing Baby Jameson!

On Thursday June 9th, 2011 our little guy came to join our family. And yes I said little! He was 8 pounds 7 ounces and 19.5 inches long. He was delivered via c-section on his Grandma Graff's birthday. Does that make him grandmas favorite....yes I think so too!
I was hoping for a VBAC but showing no signs of progressing past 1cm, no contractions, no thinning, and not being allowed or wanting to be induced it was decided a c-section would be best. Once again the surgery went really well and I was able to recover like nothing happened. I guess since my body doesn't like to actually labor it works out nicely that my body handles a c-section very well. Sean kept trying to tell the nurses that when I say my pain level is a 1 it really means like a 4. After listening to this for a day I had to yell at him to stop doing that, I really felt good. I was able to get up and walk around and SHOWER quickly. I think this c-section was easier then Killian's. At a week out I have already stopped taking my pain meds which I only took at the hospital and at bedtime. I honestly just forgot about them and feel good.
At my one week appointment the nurses and doctors were telling me that I am not normal. I just laughed and said okay. I am healing perfectly according to the doctor and I have already lost 20 pounds. Which is very exciting since I only gained 18 pound this pregnancy. I doubt the pounds stay off since Sean's mom stocked our freezer with food and lots of cookie dough!
Killian has been adjusting well to her new brother. We have had attention flare ups, but we have worked through them and found ways to make sure she feels like she is getting her time too. She loves to sing to Jameson and give him lots of kisses. Jameson is a great baby and we have worked out a good schedule. We can't wait to see him grow and learn!

Guessing Time!

Since it is almost time for Jameson to make his appearance, Sean and I thought it would be fun to see what our family and friends were thinking. Go ahead and guess his birthdate, weight, height, hair color (or none) and eye color.
As of now, I am measuring right on track, but......I did with Killian too!

Still waiting...

Time sure does fly when you have so much going on. I am still working full time at the library, really hoping this is my last week for awhile. Sean is still busy with work and making all sorts of projects for people. His to do list just keeps getting bigger. Speaking of getting bigger...my belly is at just about capacity. Jameson is about to be evicted! We go back to the doctor's tonight to have a growth ultrasound. This will give us a educated guess at about how big he will be and if we will  go with a VBAC or a repeat c-section. At this point in the pregnancy I am okay with either options.
During this Memorial weekend we had lots of family and friend time. My dad and stepmom were in town visiting. They made a special weekend trip to meet the newest member of the family, my niece, Sadie. Killian and Sam made sure to keep my dad on his toes and kept him laughing all weekend. We got a pool for the kids on Monday, which was a great success. By the time they were done swimming the water was quite brown from getting in and out of the pool in the grass.
While my dad and stepmom were visiting Killian was such a good girl. She hardly took a nap all weekend and was up late every night, but she still woke up singing early every morning. Since the weather has finally turned nice, Sean and I were discussing getting Killian her first big girl bike. We were at Wal-mart and they were having a Bike Rodeo. Basically, they set up some cones and had bikes and helmets for kids to try. Killian found the bike she liked, got her helmet and away she went. She did much better then I thought. So that sealed the deal, Killian was getting a bike. We found the one we liked and were planning to get it as a present from her brother, but Grandpa Craig and Grandma Ella offered to buy all the grandkids their first bike. Who could say no to that!?! So we all went to the store and looked for her Hello Kitty bike she wanted. Well, they were all out! They didn't have any bikes in her size. We asked an employee if there were any in the back and after lots of searching they found 1 bike and it just happened to be the Hello Kitty bike! Killian started jumping, screaming and telling every one that she was getting her big girl bike!

Sean has taken her out to ride her bike around the neighborhood. She wiped out once and jumped back up and yelled let's do it again! She rides really well, but needs to work on paying attention to where she is going. Sean has had to stop her several times so she doesn't run into a parked car.

Well that's about all for now. I will update tonight about our ultrasound!
