Zoo Day

Here in Illinois winter is slowly creeping up on us. This last weekend we were lucky enough to have one more day in the 70's before it turned chilly. To take full advantage of this last gorgeous day we headed out to our local zoo. Plus, weekends in November are free!
Our zoo isn't that big or fancy, but it definitely nice to have one so close. This coming zoo season there  will be new enclosures for the elephants and the lions so a lot of animals have been shuffled around. The train was sadly already down for the season but not the carousel.

Couple of monkeys!

Jameson checking out the petting zoo.

Funny side note:  the lions are in temporary housing while they build a new enclosure. This new home is much closer to the public and the male lion is not enjoying it so much and has started to spray visitors. HAHA

Gotta check our wingspan

Killian was very impressed with Sean's length.

Can't forget Baby G #3

  1. Your zoo has lions, elephants, and giraffes?? I think that automatically disqualifies it from being called "little" (remember the Atascadero zoo???).
Kiki's hair is getting so long!
