Happy 2012!

To ring in the new year we spent a long weekend at my dad and stepmom's new house in Missouri. The drive was about 7 hours and we knew we would need to stop for bathroom breaks often. We made sure to check the route and talk to my dad to make sure we knew where there would be places to stop.
We left on Friday after work. We thought it might be easier to drive while the kids would be sleeping. This worked out well. We got in around 1:30 AM. As soon as we were in their subdivision Killian was completely awake and very excited. We got everyone in side and the bags out of the car and had a quick tour of the house. Killian made sure to wake up Papa Craig. Sean and I were beat so we headed to bed. Killian was far too excited to go back to sleep, so she stayed up until about 3:00 AM. We brought the monitor with us and just kept telling her to go to sleep and kept an eye on her. Jameson ate a little food and went right back to sleep.
The next morning both kids slept until 7:30. Woohoo! After eating, showering and getting dressed Sean and my dad went to get a work truck and pick up some shelves that needed to go up in the garage. Of course, Sean got a full tour of the new warehouse, it is pretty impressive from what I hear. The kids and I hung out with Grandma Janella.
During the weekend we played games, watched movies, made messes with paper and scissors, played with the automatic water dispenser on the fridge, created some fabulous frozen yogurt desserts at a yogurt storm and visit a National Acclaimed Library in Greene County, Mo. This Library is amazing! It's actually called The Library Center! I have now decided I want to work there and that I need to turn my small town library into a Library Center, now who wants to donate the millions of dollars for that??
The drive home went smooth as well. We left in the morning on Monday and we were able to see some of the landmarks and how beautiful this area is, even in the winter.
A big thank you to Papa Craig and Grandma Janella for letting us visit. We can't wait to do it again!
